Antoinette Schoar, MIT
Antoinette Schoar is an expert in corporate finance, entrepreneurship, and organizational economics.  She researches venture capital, entrepreneurial finance, corporate diversification and governance, and capital budgeting decisions in firms.  She has received the Fellowship of the George Stigler Center, '97-'99, and the ERP Doctoral Scholarship of the German Ministry of Trade, '95-'97.

 
Tom Ballantyne, Cambridge Associates
Tom is a Managing Director at Cambridge Associates and has been with the firm since 1993. He works with nonprofit institutions and private clients primarily managing large client relationships. These relationships include planning, constructing and monitoring functions for overall investment policy as well as separate alternative investment programs, including private equity, hedge fund and real asset programs. Before Tom joined Cambridge Associates, he worked for more than 15 years in the investment and finance industry. Just prior to joining Cambridge Associates, he worked 2 years with a family to reorganize the Trust structure including private investments. Prior to this, he was a vice president at 3i Capital Corporation, where he invested in growth companies through equity and subordinated debt structures. He also worked at New England Capital Corporation, where he evaluated investment opportunities. Prior to this, he was the chief financial officer of a division of Thermo Electron. He also worked at Coopers & Lybrand (Montreal) where he earned his Charted Accountant designation.  Tom graduated from Concordia University and McGill University.
 
 
 
Barbara Piette, Knightsbridge Advisors
Barbara was recently appointed a Managing Principal of Knightsbridge Advisers. As a twenty-year investor in private companies and a former partner in two leading venture capital firms, she is ideally positioned to continue to build Knightsbridge's portfolio of investments in the best early stage venture partnerships. Her association with Knightsbridge dates back fifteen years, when as a General Partner of Charles River Ventures from 1986-1992, she was responsible for a successful portfolio of health care and consumer companies and served on the board of seven companies. From 1992 to 1999 she was a Partner in Schroder Ventures, investing once again with a health care focus. Since 2000 she has been President of Blackwood Capital, investing in and advising private and public company management teams. Barbara's career began as a clinical nurse manager, followed by IT consultant and account management positions with The Yankee Group and MCI Communications. Barbara earned a BS summa cum laude from Boston College, graduating first in her class. In 1986 she received an MBA with honors from Harvard Business School.
 
 
 
Philip Rotner, MIT Investment Management Co.
Prior to joining MITIMCo in the Private Equity Group, Phil was a Vice President with Bank of Boston's Corporate Finance Group. He previously held the position of Banking Officer with Bank of Tokyo Trust Company. Phil received his Bachelor of Arts from Amherst College and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago.

Scott Voss, HarbourVest
While at HarbourVest, Scott has focused predominantly on U.S. venture capital and leveraged buyout investing within the primary partnership group.  Scott has also focused extensively on partnerships investing in Israel and Latin America and has collaborated with the secondary team on several investment opportunities.  Scott serves on several advisory boards, including funds managed by Advent International (Latin America), Doll Capital Management, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Insight Venture Partners, MidOcean Partners, Pfingsten Partners, and Sterling Partners.  His prior experience includes managing international sales and distribution for Cannondale Corporation, a leading manufacturer of bicycles and cycling accessories.  Scott received a BS (cum laude) in Marketing from Bryant College in 1992 and an MBA (cum laude) from Babson College in 1999.
